How it started
What started as merch quickly turned into a brand. Justin Ruff Candle Co. started the way most real things do — from a feeling. As an R&B/Jazz artist, Justin had always used candles to set the atmosphere before writing, before performing, before creating. What began as a way to extend that atmosphere — to give his audience something they could take home — became something bigger. When people started responding to the candles the way Justin responded to his favorite brands, he knew he had something real. Not just a product. An experience.

Formally trained in jazz and grounded in soul, Justin has always believed that music and mood go hand in hand. That the right song in the right room can shift everything. Justin Ruff is an R&B/Jazz vocalist and songwriter based in Atlanta, Georgia. Formally trained in jazz and rooted in soul, he has opened for artists like Ginuwine, Teedra Moses, and Queen Naija, and performed at festivals including One Musicfest, Taste of Soul ATL, Taste of Chicago, and more. He performs regularly at intimate venues across Atlanta, bridging the gap between scent and sound. Most candle brands are inspired by music. Justin Ruff Candle Co. is different — because Justin is the musician. Every candle name, every scent, every curated playlist was made by the same hands that write the songs. This is an artist-led home fragrance brand. Not just inspired by music. Built from it.
